He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Wayne and Barbara Taylor (McKinzie); his brother Greg Taylor; his parents-in-law, John P. Hobby and L. C. Hobby; and his brothers-in-law, John L. Hobby and H. Reece Matthews.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Taylor; his children, Kalen Cox (Derek) of Conway and Robert Taylor, Jr. (TJ) of Conway; his siblings, James Taylor (Cindy) of Vilonia and Cindy Wind (Larry) of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; and his sisters-in-law, Karen Hobby Matthews of Hot Springs and Angela Michaud of Amity, Arkansas. He is also survived by two grandsons, two granddaughters as well as a host of extended family and friends.
