With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Strandlund of Conway, Arkansas, born in Hurley, South Dakota, who passed away on September 4, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Nelson Strandlund and Opal C. Jernigan; his daughter Cindy Strandlund; and his siblings, Iris Johnson, Beverly Dixon and Christian Newton Strandlund.
He is survived by: his wife Mable Strandlund; his son Brian Strandlund (Holley Shettles); his granddaughters, Heather Riddle (Jonathon) and Sarah Britton (Jordan); and his great grandchild Carter Riddle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
