He is survived by: his friends, Jim May, Rodney Herndon, Tim Stuthard, Jerry Carlisle, Rick Abbott, Steve Moore and Robbie Moore; his wife Brenda Aylett of Nashville, AR; his children, Lindsey Merritt (Blake), Clark Faulkner and Mary Catherine; his grandchildren, Madison, Gracie Faulkner, Briley and Braylin Merritt; and his sisters, Billie Cornwell (Lamont) and Diana Grant (Don). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
