She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ussery and Hettie Ussery; her husband Tun Vinson Bowie; her son James Wesley Bowie (Mary Jane); and her siblings, Joanna Earl and J. D. Ussery.
She is survived by: her children, Alvin Bowie (Deborah), Buneva Clark (Bob), Wilda Head (Keith) and Shelia Dunlap (Ed); her grandchildren, Rick Bowie (Christy), Sherry Purdy (Todd), Robin Fagala (Danny), Kelley Lewis (Keith), Dusty Linn (Darren), Melody Dundee (David), Kristen Waldrup (Daniel), Sarah Jane Drury (Tim), Stephanie Brown (Shawn), Jennifer Jones, Vince Dunlap (Tonya) and Elizabeth Dunlap; and her sisters, Freda Lieblong and Reba Luck. She is also survived by 37 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
