He was predeceased by : his wife Carla Smith. He is survived by : his children, Jacob Smith (Libby Smith) and Jessica Phaup (Doug Phaup); his grandchildren, Stella Smith, Spencer Smith, Greer Smith, Oliver Phaup and Finley Phaup; and his brother David Smith (Shirley Smith).
Consistent with his wishes and in lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Antioch Baptist Outreach Ministry, a ministry that holds a special place in his heart.
