He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony "Tony" DeGroot and Margaret DeGroot; and his brothers, Jimmy DeGroot, Robert DeGroot, Glenn DeGroot and Marvin DeGroot.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Degroot of Conway; his son Anthony Jacob DeGroot (Traci) of Dover, Arkansas; his siblings, Don DeGroot of Rapid City, Linda Tapke of Avoca and Lois Smithart of Conway; and his grandchild Harper Patrick of Dover.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made in his memory to Peace Lutheran Church, 800 S Donaghey Ave., Conway, Arkansas 72034.
