She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Hass and Ruth Moran; her brother Douglas Hass; and her significant other Michael Courtney. She is survived by: her son James Michael Mendes (Maggie); her grandchildren, Jaeden, Aria, Nyla, Clementine and Penelope; and her siblings, Richard Hass, Calvin Hass, Rebecca Hurt, Barbara Payne, Carmen Hass and Cynthia Brady (John). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
