He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Powell and Linnie Powell; and his sisters, Yavonne Tucker, Susie Nash and Betty Hartsfield.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Powell; his children, Lisa Galloway (Jolene), Kim Powell (Sue) and James Powell (Kelly); his siblings, Charlsie VanLiew and Winnie Hill; and his grandchildren, Brandon Galloway (Riley), Kristen Galloway (Cameron), James Galloway (Kyndra) and Brooklyn Powell.
