He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Mize and Helan Mize; his grandson Zachary Mize; his daughter-in-law Dana Mize; and his sisters, Letha Hendrickson and Shirley Marvin.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Mize; his sons, James Mize, Scott Mize (Julie), Todd Mize (Rosetta) and Mark Mize (Marisa); and his siblings, Charles Mize (Pat), Mike Mize (Kathy), Ressie Keith (Hobart), Fern Webb (Wayne) and Jo Ellen Wooley (Jerry). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
