She was predeceased by: her parents, David Lawley and Mary Lawley; her husband Nathanael Varner; her stepchildren, Beverly and Michael; and her grandson Seth Varner.
She is survived by: her son Scott Varner (Terri); her stepdaughter Brenda McClanahan; her granddaughter Brooke Varner; her stepgrandchildren, Amy McClanahan, Pamela Murphy, Tim and Jon Cornell; and her siblings, Larry, Faye, Sharon and Dean.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund.
