She was predeceased by: her parents, James H. Rothenberger and Ruth Rothenberger (Carrithers); and her husband Hibbard A. Smith (Hib). She is survived by: her children, Christiane L. Smith and Charles F. A. Smith (Katherine); her niece Jane M. Rothenberger; and her grandchildren, Eirin J. Lewis, Colin A. Smith and Austin C. Smith of Carmel.
Passion for the Church's women's histories, she ensured Episcopal women were not forgotten with her significant contributions to the Episcopal Women's History Project, "Herstories".
