He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva and Flossie; his siblings, A. D., Charles and Marie; and his former wife Teri.
He is survived by: his wife Mona Bishop-Johnson; his son Chance Johnson; his stepchildren, Teddy Bishop, Dorcas Pitts (Dwayne) and Jessyca Thurman; and his sisters, Joy Lee and Geneva Hearn (Alan). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other friends and relatives.
