He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Lee and Juanita Thomas; his sister Nannette; and his grandson Ian. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his sons, Rodney (Keaton), Nick (Gina) and Jeff (Melissa); and his grandsons, Jonathon and Michael.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salem United Methodist Church in Conway.
