He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Phillips and Mollie Phillips; his brothers, Earl and Glen Phillips; and his son Brent Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Phillips; his daughters, Brenda Smith (Steve) of Wesson, Mississippi and Barb McCaffree (JR) of Leon, Kansas.; his daughter-in-law Diane Phillips of Selden, Kansas; his sister Dorothy Spinks; his nephews, Hollis Spinks (Debi) and Hulan Spinks (Meagan) of Almond, Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Tyler Richardson, Clay Phillips, Lucas Phillips, Matt Smith, Josh Smith, Jenae Brice, Cade Minnick and Cooper Minnick.
