She was predeceased by: her parents, William Elbert South and Nina May Miller South; her husband Oliver Lee "Jack" Shirley; and her siblings, Ezra Lee South, Lesley Lee South, Floyd South, Clyde South, Rosie Brawner, Dorothy Davis, Bertha Bay and Marie Webb.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Shirley of Colt, Brenda Suzette Wilkins of Colt, Pamela Jeanne Taegtmeyer of Colt and Terry Lynn Morris of Colt. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Fitzgerald Crossing Baptist Church.
