He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Forrest Baskins and Pauline Huey Baskins; his wife Janice Leslie; his sons, William Shea Baskins of Colt and Ralph Jason Baskins of Cabot; and his siblings, Robert Earl Baskins (Brenda) of Colt, Betty King (Gayle) of Newark and Patricia Lawson of Fairfield Bay. He was also cherished by five grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church (2718 AR-306, Colt, AR 72326). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at the Loughridge Cemetery.
