He was predeceased by: his parents, Odis "Ras" Lawson and Mary Kelso Lawson; his wife Dorothy Barksdale; his son Larry Lawson; his granddaughter Jodi Lawson; and his siblings, Charles Lawson, Wilene Peterson, Jewel French and Sue Mauppin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Graham (Garry) of Cherry Valley and Beverly DeVazier (Brad) of Forrest City; his siblings, Linda Jones of Forrest City, Carl Lawson of Colt, Odis Lawson of Newcastle and Phil Lawson of Forrest City; his grandchildren, Ricky Dangeau (Jamie), Stephanie Westmoreland (Buddy), Bently DeVazier (Jennifer), Blake DeVazier (Samantha) and Brent DeVazier; his great grandchildren, Bo Westmoreland, King Dangeau, Brynlee DeVazier and Knixon Dangeau; and his nephew Jimmie Peterson (Jerri). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
