She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Eugene and Beulah Clay Brawner; and her brother Randall Eugene Brawner. She is survived by: her husband Dr. James Frederick "Fred" Spann; and her children, Suzanne Davia Brown (Kenneth) of Greenbrier, James Frederick Spann, Jr. of Rockville, Edward Clay Spann (Patricia) of Colt and Grady Brawner Spann (Josefina) of Farmington. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
