He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Owens and Willie Mae Owens; his stepfather Joe Fields; his wife Wanda Owens; and his siblings, James Owens and Barbara Kelch.
He is survived by: his close friend Tammy Bohannon of Coal Hill; his daughters, Shelly Boswell of Hartman, Tammy Owens of Clarksville and Sonya Khan (Nash) of Prescott, Arkansas; his stepchildren, Randall Bohannon (Whitney) of Hunt and Ronni Bryant (Clay) of Coal Hill; and his siblings, Paul Owens of Altus, Arkansas, Dorothy Cleavenger (Henry) of Sale Creek and Mae Dean Hixon (Larry) of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
