He was predeceased by: his parents, Ola Mae (Banks) and James Bryant Story; his wife Margaret Kathryn "Kaye" Patterson; and his siblings, Jean Graham, Rex Story and James Story.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Bryan Story (Tiffiney) of Greenbrier, Michael Lyndon Story (Elaine) of Greers Ferry and Gayla Michelle Bradley (Steven) of Clinton; his grandchildren, Tyler (Bryan Story), Samuel (Bailey), Preston Story and Chelsea Pencarinha (Garrett Bradley); his great grandchildren, Chelsea, Nathan, Katie, Lincoln and Jaelyn; and his siblings-in-law, Pat Lawrence, Sammy Story and Lynn Graham. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
