He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sidney Mackey and Myrtle Mackey (Lipford) of Mount Pleasant; his son Rick Mackey, Jr.; his wife Starla Mackey; his children, Jeffery Dewayne "Red" Mackey of Scotland, Rodney Bradford (Tisha) of Clinton and Kayla Roberson (Michael) of Bee Branch; his daughter-in-law Sarah Preciado (Rick) of Mount Pleasant; and his brother Ronnie Mackey (Melba) of Mount Pleasant. He was also cherished by thirteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, numerous other family members, and many friends.
