He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlie Duncan and Nova Duncan; his wife Patsy McDonald; and his siblings, Cecil Duncan and Doris Murray.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa Coots, Teresa Duncan and Brian Duncan; his grandchildren, Kayla Lynch, Shawn Coots and Cassey Brock; and his sisters, Hazel Murray and Barbara Webb. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
