She was predeceased by: her parents, Olen McKinley and Essie Viola McCormac (Parks); her husband Loyal Smiley; her son John Franklin Smiley; and her siblings, Wanda June, Mary Jane Dulaney (Bob), Raymond Jackson (Jack), Dorris Morris (Dick) and Carl Dean McCormac (Charlie).
She is survived by: her daughter Catherine Smiley (Walter Shurtenburger); her grandchildren, Camille Smiley (Adam Bernbach) of Washington, DC and Daniel Smiley (Rachael Schaffner) of Fayetteville, AR; her sisters, Sally Workman of Richardson, TX and Ruth Bruce of Alread; and her sisters-in-law, Gloria McCormac of Sacramento, CA and Carrol McCormac of Clinton, AR.. She is also survived by relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Alzheimer's Research at Mayo Clinic Research Department of Development 200 1st SW.
