He is survived by: his spouse Vada Jean Harness Owens; his children, Joe Mitchell Owens and Dena Gale Owens Dean; his grandchildren, Jaret Griggs, Kali Griggs, Emily Kestle, Bryce Owens, Brooke Owens and Lauren Owens; and his brother Howell Dean Owens.
