He was predeceased by: his father Willie Lee; his son Willie Maxwell; and his siblings, Burl Maxwell, Marvel and Sybil.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Maxwell; his children, Billie Jo Roberts (Wayne), Jason Tindall (Erica), Bobbie Turner, Jamie, Dusty Maxwell and Betty Jo Ferguson (Kristian); and his grandchildren, Amber Rae Jameson, Willie Bob Capps, Wade Tindall, Piper Tindall, Zoey Turner, Khloe Turner, Lauryn Maxwell, Raeleigh Ferguson and Tucker Ferguson. He is also survived by many other relatives, and friends.
