He was predeceased by: his mother Rosemary Denton (Gamblin); his wife Clara Mae Denton (Cook); his sons, James Albert Denton (Gwen) and William "Bill" Gene Denton; his father William Denton; and his sisters, Nancy Warner and Rose Cole Gresham.
He is survived by: his children, Amy Isely (Matt), Ellen Denton, Paul Denton (Betty), Larry Denton (Lisa), Sammy Stuart (Wendy) and Peggy Cline (Jason); and his grandchildren, Chloe (Yarbrough), Camden William Isely, Caitlin Isely, Connor Barnes, Clay Denton, Aaron Denton, Hoyt Denton, Whitney Mitchell, Abby Stanford, Zoe Denton, Heather Hill, Crytsal Collins, Holly Tomlinson, Tracey Gustaveson, Amber Bymers, Dustin Stuart, Abigail Cline and Sheree Brewer.
