He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham Laster and Mabel King Laster; his grandparents, Dr. R. E., Jessie King, James Monroe and Louisa Laster; his daughter Darice Laster; his brother David Laster (Edna); and his siblings-in-law, Reba Laster and Raymond Wyers.
He is survived by: his children, David Laster and Jeri Laster VanDyne (Bruce); his grandchildren, Jordan, Erik and Mark VanDyne; and his siblings, Abe Laster, Jr. and Juanelle Wyers. He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
