He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Griggs and Elizabeth Wicker Griggs; his daughter Cherish Griggs Thomas; his granddaughter Kirstie Heinen; and his brothers, Max Griggs and Calvin Griggs.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Griggs (Sparks); his children, Gaston Griggs of Lamar, Arkansas and Chanda Griggs Heinen of Conway, Arkansas; his sisters, Marlene Riddle of Pampa, Texas and Barbara Slater (Wayne) of Pampa, Texas; his grandchildren, Kori Payton (Daniel), Kylee Thomas, Tristan Heinen, Sadie Griggs, Maycie Griggs and Garrison Griggs; and his great grandchildren, Paislee Payton and Tucker Payton.
