He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Troy Eakin and Edna Roach Eakin Johnson; his brothers, Charles Blynn Eakin and VanRay Eakin; his son Charles VanRay Eakin; and his grandparents, Jeff, Nancy Roach, Andrew and Rebecca Eakin.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Kay Eakin of Choctaw; his children, Billy Joe Eakin of Virginia, Jeffrey Scott May of Conway, Candace Dilda, Angel Wells, Taffy Clark and Ronda Melendez; and his siblings, Coy "Lil" Eakin of Ohio and Betty Weir of Ohio. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
