He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Lamkin and Bamma Lamkin; and his brothers, Taylor Lamkin, Adolph Lamkin and Louis Lamkin.
He is survived by: his children, Van W. Lamkin (Pete), Teresa Lampkin (Tommy Vaughan) and Melissa "Missy" Pickett (Shane); and his grandchildren, Lance Lamkin, Logan Garcia, Dillon Vaughan, Austin Moore, Emmy Lou Lamkin and Casey Pickett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
