He was predeceased by: his parents, Audie Fendley and Doris Fendley (Partain); his brother Griffin Elzey; and his stepdaughter Billie Jo Russell. He is survived by: his wife Gwen Fendley; his children, Gary Fendley of Cherry Valley, Arkansas and Gina Lee (Larry) of Cherry Valley, Arkansas; his stepson Robert Sullivan of Wynne, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Mitchell Fendley of Cherry Valley, Caryn McClanahan (Katlyn) of Cherry Valley, Kara Lee of Cherry Valley, Kourtney Lee of Cherry Valley, Teagan Russell of Wynne, Micah Russell of Wynne, Taylor Grace Harper (Seth) of Wynne, Robyn Sullivan of Marshall and Daniel Sullivan of Marion, Arkansas; and his great grandchildren, Parker McClanahan, Josie McClanahan, Cason King and Jack Harper.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to the American Cancer Society.
