William Pippin Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Pippin of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, born in Newton, Illinois, who passed away on July 12, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hallie Lee and Nellie Pippin (Brooks); his wife Joelle; his daughter Rebecca "Becky" Pippin; and his brother-in-law Andrew "Andy" Straumann.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Pippin (Shynee) of Springfield, IL, Aaron Pippin (Laurie) of Loami, IL, Brett Pippin (Beth Skelton) of Chattanooga, TN and Leta Bilyeu (Bruce) of Loami, IL; his stepdaughter Beth Szillagyi (Roy Sims) of Springfield, IL; his grandchildren, Kyle Pippin, Dae-Cheon Pippin, SooYun Pippin, Lori Mullens, Sara Lindsey (Michael), Destiny Cole (Todd), Kyra Pippin (Matt Burrus), Ryan McGarvey (Jennifer Brown), Dana Wallner (Kyle Jansen), Jarid Sockel (Tara Newlin), Jacki Rutledge (Josh), Luke Arnold (Kristen), Megan Clark, Jennifer Steffen and Blake Ruggles; his sister Patricia "Pat" Straumann; and his close friend Toni Crane. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
It was Bill's wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of donations to the Hardy Junction Music Hall and the Liberty Hill Community Church.
