He was predeceased by: his parents, Hevrin J. Bergeron Jr. and Willie Pearl Bergeron (Hill); his siblings, Stevie, Ross Bergeron and Susan B. Green; and his granddaughter Carly Rupert.
He is survived by: his wife Gayle; his children, Wayne Thomas Bergeron (Wendy), Robert Paul Bergeron (Connie), Daniel Glen Rupert (Jordan), Lisa B. Duff, Melissa Ducotey (Willie) and Patricia Duhon (Zeb); and his siblings, Richie and Libby. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
