Though Peggy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Peggy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Davis and Audine Davis (Lowe); and her husband Jim Nelms. She is survived by: her sons, Jamie Horton (Melissa) of Charleston, Tony Horton (Shawndria) of Fort Smith, Jimmy Nelms of Charleston, Christopher Nelms of Ozark and Bradley Nelms (Stephanie) of Hackett; and her siblings, Joann Gunzenhauser of Ozark, Beverly Appleton of Charleston, Rhonda Smothers (Stinger) of Charleston and Roy Dean Davis (Pam) of Lavaca. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Shott Cemetery.
