It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jimmy Eugene Salter of Charleston, Arkansas, born in Bryceland, Louisiana, who passed away on July 5, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Fred W. Salter; his former wife Wanda Salter (Perryman); and his siblings, Buster Salter, Ted Salter and Beverly Merritt.

He is survived by: his wife Aline Salter (Rogers); his daughters, Jeanie Alexander (Don) of Howe and Lisa Beaver (Wesley) of Midland; his stepchildren, Donna Hicks (Delbert) of Central City, Amy Maxwell (Devlan) of Mustang and Kenny Banning (Cleo) of Van Buren; and his brother Richard Salter (Kay) of Jonesboro. He is also survived by grandchildren, (31) great-grandchildren, and (6) great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Enterprise Freewill Baptist Church.
