He was predeceased by: his parents, Pink Russell and Ida Rose Russell (Gabbard); and his siblings, Isaiah (Russell), Pink "Boots" Russell, Jr. of James, Gerald "Joe" Russell, Doris Hatcher, Dessie Appleton, Florene Young, Wanda Melton, Ann Alston and Helen Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Russell (Reed) of Charleston; his children, Scott Russell (Michelle) of Charleston, Stacy Armer (Justin) of Kentucky and Kim West (Rick) of Booneville; his sister Sally Barber of Rogers; his grandchildren, Josh, Brittany, Nick, Myla, Jake (Kristin), Hayden (Aubrie) and Gabe; and his great grandchildren, Aria, Auburn and Carter. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
