He was predeceased by: his parents, James Koonce and Mary Koonce (Wade); and his brothers, Allen Koonce of Garfield and Clifford Koonce of Kingsland, Georgia. He is survived by: his children, Judy Carson of Austin, Arkansas and James "Pete" Koonce of Moyock; his stepdaughters, Lisa Linville of Clinton and Teresa Ward of Guy, Arkansas; and his sister Mary Lee Waldo of Haines City, Florida. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
