He was predeceased by: his parents, A. A. Coombes and Ruth Coombes; his brothers, Don, Alvin, Lonnie and Emmett "Spud" Coombes; his granddaughter Laterra Coombes; and his daughter-in-law Mary Coombes.

He is survived by: his wife Cora Coombes; his children, Joseph (Karen Coombes) of Tombstone, AZ, Charley (Dawn Coombes) of Cedarville, Anna Brugman of Alma, Cora (Randy Jackson) of Cedarville and Louise Stills of Van Buren; his grandchildren, Misty Breeden, Joey Robbins, Cody Robbins, Holly Skattebo, Justin Williams, Daniel Williams, Mary Stills, Kevin Jackson, Steven Stills, Dalton Schaffer and Damian Adams; and his great grandchildren, Jaxxon Breeden, Xander Stills, Addy Stills, Paisley Stills of Camden Stills, J. J, Graesyn, Andrew Staggs, Caleb Downs, Carter Downs, Camden Downs, Brayden Skattebo of Kalynn Skattebo, J. D, Meadors and Madison Rathclif.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ocker Funeral Home (700 Jefferson St, Van Buren, AR 72956). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Ocker Memorial Chapel (700 Jefferson St, Van Buren, AR 72956). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at the Shamrock Cemetery.
