He is survived by: his sons, Douglas Thames and Shawn Thames; his daughter-in-law Eneldia Berlanga-Thames; his granddaughter Shara Thames Dorsey; his great grandchild Maximus Charles Dorsey; his siblings, Charles Melvin Thames (Maureen) and Ruth Ann Dearness; and his sister-in-law Karen Farrar (John). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
