He was predeceased by: his parents, Irwin Stone Sr. and Erma Stone (Scott); his former wife Mary Ellen Stone (Moore); his son Anthony Albert Stone; and his grandson Brandt Matthew Mattox.

He is survived by: his children, Viola, Erma, Barbara, Nettie, Richard, Edwin and Samuel; his wife Dorothy Stone (Matthews); his daughter Catherine Christine Stone; and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
