He was predeceased by: his parents, Mahlon Chesney and Lelia Chesney; and his siblings, Brian Chesney, Richard Chesney, Arthur Bean, Ruth Eva Fassett and Patricia Ann Lyng.
He spent his time volunteering to play Santa around town, being active in the Kiwanis Club, and collecting money to donate to the Angel Tree Foundation.
