It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Whitehead of Cave City, Arkansas, born in Harrisburg, Arkansas, who passed away on March 25, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Cooper and Lizzie Cooper (Martin); her husband James "Bud" "Pop" Whitehead; and her brothers, Gene and Odell Cooper.
She is survived by: her children, James LeRoy Whitehead (Pamela) of Batesville, Arkansas, Pamela Ann Clark (Danny) of Earle and Sherry Lynn Brown (James) of Cave City, Arkansas; her brother Billy Paul Cooper of Cherry Valley, Arkansas; and her grandchildren, John Brown (Kayleen), Lindy Clark, Tanner Clark (Patricia), Micah Whitehead, Marcus Whitehead (Courtney), Christopher Whitehead, Brittany Warden (Eyan) and Abby Greenlee. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
