He was predeceased by: his parents, John Herman and Melba Marie Nelson (Marks); and his siblings-in-law, Eddie Glenn Herndon and Millie Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Judy Herndon Nelson; his children, John Ryan Nelson of Bono and Jodie Barber of Cave City; his brothers, Gary Nelson of Bono and Bobby Nelson of Blytheville; his grandchildren, Josh Stewart and Destini Ables; his mother-in-law Jacquelyn Herndon of Cave City; his brothers-in-law, Tony Herndon (Sharon) of Cave City and Brent Herndon (Diane) of Cave City; and his pets, Toi and Amy Jo. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
