He was predeceased by: his parents, William Eugene and Velma Chastain Shelton; and his brother James Boyd. He is survived by: his wife Martha Boyd (King); his children, David (DeBora Woolery Boyd) and Vallerie (Montgomery Watts); his grandchildren, Kevin Boyd, Megan Cargill and Andrew Cargill; his great grandchildren, J. J., Kala and Jaxson; and his brothers, William Boyd (Bill), Winston Boyd (Denny), Bernard Boyd, Royce Boyd, Michael Boyd and Johnny Boyd. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
