He was predeceased by: his stepfather Conway Hunter; and his siblings, Francis Jones, Linda LaFitte, Jimmy Houston Patterson and Harold Dean Patterson.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Joe Patterson, Christopher Houston Patterson (Megan) of Cave City, Delena Dianne Sawyer of Cave City and Eden Michelle Patterson of Strawberry, Arkansas; his stepson Zachary Drake of Hoxie, Arkansas; his siblings, Emma Patterson Ballard (Kenny) of Batesville, Patsy Patterson Garner (Alan) of White Hall, Arkansas, Oscar Patterson (Carol) of Marion and Johnny Patterson (Laura) of Sherwood, Arkansas; and his grandchildren, Rainey Sawyer of Cave City, Shelby Sawyer of Cave City, Charley Sawyer of Cave City and Willow Patterson of Cave City. He is also survived by many other relatives and good friends.
