He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Provence and Alma Provence; his brother Garland Provence; his wife LaDell Watkins Provence; his son John Provence; and his grandson Jason Provence.

He is survived by: his sons, Rick Provence (Denise), Tim Provence (Linda) and Michael Provence (Natalie); his brothers, Gerald Provence (Ina) and Joe Ted Provence (Fern); and his grandchildren, Kimberly Bryant (Jeff), Kent Provence (Caryn), Jacob Provence (Candace), Ashley Nevin (Nathan), Katie Kraft (Ben), Timothy Provence (Brenna), Monica Provence, Laura Provence and Allicen Provence. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
