He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Jackson Gunnell and Ellen Grace Gean Gunnell; his wife Nancy Sparkes Gunnell; and his siblings, Billy Gunnell, Paul Gunnell, Charles Gunnell, Mildred Mann and Dorothy Inman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vivien Akins, Andrea Worlow and Suzanne Gunnell; his grandchildren, Alex Haslett, Valerie Worlow and Steven Worlow; his great grandchild Asher Weisen; his siblings, Larry Gunnell, Nancy Taylor, Betty Gean Eifling and Gladys Johansson; and his stepgrandchildren, Travis Sparks, Katelyn Sparks, Jordan Sparkes and Haley Sparks.
