He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Clarence and Frances Evelyn Wells Heiss; his daughter Cheryl Joy Heiss; and his siblings, Clarence Heiss, Katherine Frances Heiss and Millie Jane Heiss Holt.
He is survived by: his children, Phillip Heiss (Rosemary) of Lakeland, FL, Sandy Heiss of Memphis, TN, Larry Heiss of Little Rock, Tammy Tenison of Carlisle, Bonnie Herring (David) of Carlisle and David Collier-Tenison (Shannon) of Little Rock. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Carlisle First United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
