Malcom Sanders Obituary

Malcom Sanders, 84, of Caraway, Arkansas passed away on September 24, 2024 at his home. He was born on May 23, 1940 in Rivervale, Arkansas to Marion and Veila Sanders. He was a member of the Rivervale Baptist Church in Rivervale, Arkansas for 40 years. Malcom's greatest passion after God and family was farming. He worked tirelessly planting, tending and sowing crops. He was a huge family man and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed going on cruises any chance he could get.

Survivors include; four children: Frank Bates of Paragould, Arkansas, Suzanne Wallace (Phil) of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, David Bates of the home, Mike Sanders (Felisha) of Manila, Arkansas; special companion: Pat Brewer of Caraway, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren: Ashley Elinburg (John), Wes Wallace, Miranda Forehand (Trent), Clint Wallace (Ashton), Adam Carpenter (Heather), Cy Whaley, Ryan Wallace (Allie), Lilli Ann Bates (Shane), Mekenzie Wallace (Trent), Lana Spray (Jordan), Tristan Sanders; several great grandchildren; one brother: J.R. Sanders of Oklahoma; two sisters: Irene Bashears (Oby) of Waldron, Arkansas and Mona Sanders of Mena, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by; his parents: Marion and Veila Sanders; wife and mother of the children: Mary Ann Sanders; latest wife: Betty Sanders; one brother: Danny Sanders; and one sister: Glenda Waters.

Pallbearers: J.D. Schoolfield, Garrett Taylor, Brandon Finch, Dewayne Gross, Jeremy Brown, and Todd Gibson.

Honorary pallbearers: Justin Sanders, Josh Sanders, and Malcom's grandsons.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Caraway First Baptist Church with Bro. Steven Sanders officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Caraway Cemetery at Caraway, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
