Carolyn Mae Sarrels Obituary

Carolyn Mae Sarrels, 70, of Caraway, Arkansas passed away at St. Bernards Medical Center on August 24, 2023. She was born on March 25, 1953 in Manila, Arkansas to Earl Jefferson McCallie and Claria Maud Cox. She enjoyed nature, walking, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include; one son: John Sarrels (Lisa) of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; one daughter: Tonya Stevens of Tulsa, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren: Zach Sarrels, Heavin Bauer, Destani Bauer, Tyesha Coker (Jordan), Duston Sarrels, Dalton Sarrels, Gage Bauer; twenty five great grandchildren; three sisters: Barbara Lasater (Donald) of Manila, Arkansas, Beatrice Hill (James) of Manila, Arkansas; Shirley Peyton (Clifford) of Caraway, Arkansas; three brothers: Richard McCallie of Caraway, Arkansas, Buddy McCallie, Jr. (Glenda) of Caraway, Arkansas, Larry McCallie of Black Oak, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by; her parents: Earl Jefferson McCallie and Claria Maud Cox; one daughter: Jennifer Bushong; and two sisters: Betty Eby and Mary McCallie.

The family has requested private arrangements under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
